The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting in an article titled 'Queen of the Blues' Koko Taylor dead at 80 the death of blues singer Koko Taylor.
May she rest in peace and condolences go out to her family, friends and fans.

Very sad news. I recall a performance she gave up here in Toronto back in the 80s. She was incredibly dynamic.
Yep, Koko was awesome. I feel lucky to have seen her many times and really enjoyed watching her pour her soul out when she sang.

I saw her at the Long Beach Blues festival in maybe 1989 or so. Enjoyed and enjoy her music whenever I hear it. The lady made us joy.
