When I first heard John Fahey, I recall thinking, what the hell was that? Composer, eccentric, American primative?. He never seemed to fit. Maybe he doesn't even fit on a blues blog, I don't know. I find his music strangely compelling but I never feel at ease with it. Here are some examples.

Red Pony
Candy Man

Whether or not it's Blues or Folk or something else it has a pride of place in this blog. I just love Candyman. His music has always made me feel happier, more content and calmer for listening - that is as good a criteria as any. A damned fine guitarist.
I guess the three of us share common tastes - so what if it becomes some kind of 'love-fest'. I follow your main blog as well and I have got to say I have 2 dogs (always have had) and a Photobucket album dedicated to my garden. Eerie or what?
Eerie indeed.
Any man who has a photobucket album dedicated to his garden, is someone I could call friend. Even if he does not like blues or folk music.
My yard work needs work. LOL. And there are so many photos I have taken that need to be organized that I don't even want to talk about it.
Well seeing you asked - this is my garden in April
See now that is how you do a cross posting. Now the trick will be to go from the travel blog to the blues blog. LOL.
Oh, and what a wonderful garden you have my friend. Thanks for sharing it with us.
it's a beautiful garden for sure...I don't think I know any blues about gardening though.
@Ron Moorby
Candyman is an oldie. Gary Davis say it "come out in nineteen-five, waaaay back yonder" on this http://lix.in/-4130a9 record.
aw sheesh, that gary davis link had a pass: bluestown
Appologies.
