It is the birthday of John P. Hammond. He was born on 13 November 1942 in New York. He is somtimes mistakenly called "John Hammond, Jr", which is his father's name. He is a blues singer and guitarist. I like his voice, he sounds like he has got the blues.

We saw his show at Hugh's Room here in Toronto last year. It was fabulous! Happy Birthday Mr. Hammond!
I think people call him John Jr. because his father was also John Hammond, the record producer who for instance signed a young Bob Dylan to Columbia Records.
