man, that's a beautiful thing! Mr. Lewis is buried somewhere in the Hollywood Cemetery in south Memphis. Last year, we visited - me and Tuffy and Candy and Stagg. It is a poor black cemetery and it is in bad disrepair. It took us quite a while to find the place - nobody seemed to have heard of it. We just assumed that if Furry Lewis was buried there, it must be a famous cemetery. We walked around for a couple hours trying to find Mr. Lewis' grave, unsuccessfully. I later found out what part of the cemetery he was buried in, and we were looking all through there. It could be we just missed it, or it could be the tombstone was damaged or stolen or knocked down. There had been a flood there, and many tombstones were down. It was an incredibly moving afternoon.

That is a sad story, I hope some of the musicians or foundations there in Memphis do something to recognise this great bluesman.

hello my friends! does anyone know if this is ordinary open G tuning? I can't get it to sound right on my guitar, maybe because I'm not Furry Lewis! :)

hi, i figured it out. It is open G and you can get open g tuning here http://www.tunemybass.com/ but i noticed that on the vido the timing of the audio with the screen is off, so it was hard to learn. It helps to watch his finger picking with the sound muted.
