Such a good track - but who do you prefer?
John Lee Hooker - sublime
or Eric Clapton - technical genius

I really like the Clapton version - first heard it on his From the Cradle album... but, I prefer John Lee Hooker's take on it. His voice is incredible. A whole life pours out when he sings it. Also, I think I prefer the slower pace.
However, both are excellent and it's a hard choice to make... can I not have both please. :-)
Yes I think so!
nice to hear from you David
If I were on a deserted island and could only have one, I'd take the John Lee Hooker version, but I would truly miss the Clapton version as well.
I like Clapton's hands down. I'm a diehard Clapton fan though so...
I have to say, I dig both, but Elmore James' version tops them both.
Thanks for the Elmore James reference I've linked to it and certainly listened a couple of times
While growing up, Clapton made a huge impact in my appreciation for music. I continue to be a big fan... But in this scenario, I have to say Hooker.
John Lee Hooker, without a doubt!
