Here's the Memphis Jug Band.

Coal Oil Blues
We're going back, way back, to the late 20's and early 30's today. One of the interesting things about this band is that the personnel changed regularly, usually centred around Will Shade who was the glue holding the group together.

Not only did the members change regularly, several of them went on to careers of their own. I think the most memorable thing about the Memphis Jug Band was that their backup instruments were washboards, kazoo's and glass jugs which produced the bass. These were great, thanks for sharing them. D.S. Williamson
Thanks for your comment, D.S. When I started listening to them, I was also taken aback by the stylistic range in their music.
