I came across a Juke Boy Bonner record on vinyl back in my teens and I could never understand why he wasn't a big name.

Juke Boy is held in reverence in this part of Texas.
I'm happy to hear that. I really like some of his tunes like I'm a Bluesman and Life is a Nightmare and his boogies are terrific too. I particularly like the one, maybe it's called Sportsman's Boogie or something like that, about not having your fishin' and huntin' licenses.
I am going to look up the boogie - always good
