I love that snippet at the end..."we're talkin about the life of human beings, how they live...". I'm willing to stand up on my kitchen chair and declare that by this point, Wolf was pretty much untouchable in this genre.
It's not about how many notes you can fit in. It's not about fancy accompaniment. It's all about expressing the song and when I see these old films of Wolf in action they stop me in my tracks. Not many performers do that in any genre.
