Right now I have the blues and that famous line by BB King keeps coming to mind;
Nobody loves me but my mother,
and she could be jiving too....

Sing it Fitzgerald! I hope the blues soon pass on...your personal blues, not the great tunes you post here!
One of the greatest lines in all of popular music...
But not if you're living it. And we've all been there, right?
Good luck getting over the blues so you can get back to The Blues!
It's important for a good blues lyric to be as pessimistic as possible. Take Juke Boy Bonner, for instance, who wrote (something like): Life is a nightmare, that's just the way it seems, so many ups and downs and valleys filled with empty dreams. Listen to that, and you're bound to feel better.
diana, the blues comes and goes. On that day I was feeling a bit low. Sometimes my wife says that is bacuse I listen to all the "sad ass music." Her words. LOL. I generally see the bright side of life but I do get the blues sometimes.
art, thanks for stopping by. I love that line, when I told my mom about it, she laughed.
mister anchovy, you know I love those low down deep dark blues songs, they do make me feel better.

I am trying to find the title of the B.B King song with his line (and I hate to tell you this) but it is "nobody loves me like my mama, & she maybe jivin' too".
I appreciate you if you know & telling me what the song that includes that line?
